We started LendPoint.org with one belief: when life hits you with an unexpected bill, getting short-term help should be fast, honest, and free of traps.
LendPoint.org was founded in 2016 in Austin, Texas, after our founders watched friends and family get burned by confusing loan terms — fees buried in fine print, rollover cycles nobody explained, and due dates that arrived like ambushes.
We decided to build the payday loan experience we wished existed: one application, one clear price, one due date — all shown up front, in plain English, before you commit to anything. No jargon. No surprises.
Today, LendPoint.org serves more than 120,000 customers across 40+ states, has funded over $38 million in short-term loans, and maintains a 4.8 out of 5 customer rating. But the metric we care about most is simpler: the percentage of borrowers who tell us they understood exactly what they were signing. That number is 97% — and we're working to make it 100.
To provide fast, transparent short-term credit to Americans facing unexpected expenses — with pricing shown up front, terms written in plain language, and support that treats every borrower with respect.
Every fee, the APR, and the total repayment are displayed before you accept. If we can't explain a charge in one sentence, we don't charge it.
We verify income and only approve amounts that fit your budget. We'd rather decline an application than set someone up to fail.
Life happens. Our support team is trained to help — not to pressure, shame, or upsell. Every caller gets patience and straight answers.
LendPoint.org launches with a single promise: show the full cost of every loan before the borrower commits.
Our plain-language loan agreements become the company standard, and our cost calculator goes live for everyone.
We rebuild the application from scratch — fully mobile, fully encrypted, and completable in about five minutes.
Crossing six figures in customers served while maintaining one of the highest satisfaction ratings in short-term lending.
Expanded state coverage with full compliance in every jurisdiction we operate in — and a borrower-education hub in the works.
LendPoint.org operates in strict compliance with federal and state lending laws, including the Truth in Lending Act (TILA). Loan products, maximum amounts, fees, and terms vary by state, and we only offer products that are legal in your state of residence.
Our commitment: We will never offer you a loan product that violates your state's laws, and we will always disclose the APR, finance charge, total repayment amount, and payment schedule in writing before you sign.
We'll be straight with you: payday loans are expensive. A typical fee of $15 per $100 borrowed over two weeks equals roughly 391% APR. They are designed for genuine short-term emergencies — a car repair, a medical bill, keeping the lights on — not for ongoing expenses or long-term debt.
If you're struggling with recurring bills, cheaper options may exist: payment plans with your creditor, local assistance programs, credit union payday-alternative loans (PALs), or nonprofit credit counseling. We'd rather you borrow less expensively elsewhere than borrow expensively from us for the wrong reason.
